Assam CEE 2025 Counselling: Registrations reopen for BTech admissions; eligibility criteria

Assam CEE Counselling 2025: Candidates are required to pay the first semester fee of Rs 70,000 by June 21.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Assam has reopened the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) counselling registration after closing the admission portal for three days. Candidates seeking admission into government engineering colleges in Assam will have to complete the registration process through the official website.
While filling the Assam CEE counselling 2025 form, candidates are required to pay the first semester fee of Rs 70,000. The fee payment should be done by June 21, as per the schedule.
Assam CEE counselling registration started at 4:30 on June 16. A day later, the counselling portal was closed at 11 pm. “Due to maintenance, the registration and choice filling portal for B Tech will be closed temporarily. The portal will be active soon,” it said.
Today, the officials said, “The registration and choice filling portal for BTech admission-2025 has been re-opened after necessary maintenance.” Candidates who have already registered and those who have already paid the fees are also required to do fresh registration. The payment made by applicants earlier will be refunded shortly, the official said.
Government engineering colleges in Assam
Government engineering colleges of Assam that are affiliated under Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) are given below. These institutions will offer admission based on the scores in Assam CEE.
- Assam Engineering College, Guwahati.
- Jorhat Engineering College, Jorhat.
- Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology, Jorhat.
- Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhat.
- Barak Valley Engineering College , Sribhumi.
- Golaghat Engineering College, Golaghat.
- Dhemaji Engineering College, Dhemaji.

Assam CEE 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the 4-year BTech courses in Assam engineering colleges will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be considered for admission.
- Must be a Indian citizen
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam, with a valid PRC of Assam issued by the competent authority.
- Applicants who wish to be considered for the central government employee quota must submit proof of their permanent residency from the concerned state authorities outside of Assam.
- Should have passed Class 10 and 12 in single sitting, without any grace marks in the mandatory subjects. They should have passed both theory and practical exams.
- General category students should have obtained at least 45% and reserved category candidates should have secured a minimum of 40%in the qualifying examination.
- OR, candidates should have passed 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology under the State Council for Technical Education, Assam with 45% marks. The passing percentage for reserved category candidates is 40%.
- Candidates should not be below 17 years on the date of registration. There is no maximum age limit.
- Students should also submit a character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
- Medical certificate should also be submitted.
