BHU to reopen campus with 100 percent staff capacity

NEW DELHI: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will start functioning with 100 percent capacity with immediate effect as per a notice released by BHU on February 7 by adhering to COVID-19 protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP).
“Various institutes, faculties, departments, offices, units of Banaras Hindu University will work with full capacity with immediate effect and all teachers, officers and employees will be present at their workplace on regular basis. Strict adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour is expected from all,” said a post on BHU’s official Twitter handle.

According to a notification released by the BHU administration, authorities are directed to ensure that all are wearing masks at all times and adhering to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and following all Covid protocols.
As per various media reports, schools and colleges across the country are in the process of reopening the campus. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), also called as IP University, and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have reopened tod ay.

BHU has recently opened admissions to its PhD, MPhil and integrated MPhil PhD programmes for the academic session 2021-22. Candidates will have to submit the online application by February 15, 2022, at BHU entrance test portal bhuonline.in.
