Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2023: Registration starts tomorrow at bpssc.bih.nic.in; exam pattern

NEW DELHI: Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) will start the registration process for the recruitment of Bihar Police sub-inspector posts on the official website, bpssc.bih.nic.in, tomorrow i.e. October 5. The registration window will close on November 5.
The commission is conducting the Bihar Police SI 2023 exam for filling 1,275 posts. The BPSSC will hold the recruitment process of 441 posts of unreserved category, 275 of SC category, 16 for ST category, 238 for EBC category, 107 for OBC category, 82 posts for backward class (female), 111 for Economic Weaker Sections and five for transgenders.
Bihar Police SI 2023: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should have completed bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Aspirants belonging to unreserved category should be in the age group 20 to 37 years. Female candidates and those belonging from OBC and EBC categories should be in the age group 20 to 40 years. For candidates belonging to SC and ST categories the maximum age will be 42 years.
Male candidates applying for the posts should be physically fit. Those belonging from unreserved categories should be 165 cm tall and have chest width of 81 cm and 86 (after inhaling). Male candidates of OBC, EBC, SC and ST categories should be at least 160 cm tall. OBC and EBC categories should have the chest dimensions similar to that of unreserved candidates while those from SC and ST categories the chest dimensions should be 79 cm and 84 (after inhaling). Female candidates would be 155 cm tall and weigh 48 kg.
Bihar Police SI exam 2023: Exam pattern
The examination will be done in two phases. In Bihar Police SI 2023 prelims exam, the candidates will have to attempt 100 questions on general knowledge and resolution of issues. The candidates will have two hours to attempt the questions and for each correct answer they will get two marks. The candidates will have to get at least 30% marks to qualify the paper 1.
The Bihar Police SI 2023 mains exam will have two papers. The first paper will be of Hindi and have 100 marks of two marks each. The second paper will have questions related to current affairs, science, mathematics, Indian history, reasoning, geography and political science. This will also have 100 questions of two marks.

The students will get two hours each to attempt the papers. For each correct answer 0.2 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response in both the phases. Following the examination, the students will have to appear for the physical examination test.
