Bihar STET 2019 qualified candidates to be considered for next recruitment

All candidates qualified in the Bihar STET exam will be considered for the recruitment. Bihar STET result was declared on June 21, 2021.

NEW DELHI: The education minister of Bihar, Vijay Kumar Choudhary, recently released the pending results of the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) for the paper I Sanskrit, Urdu and Science on the official website - bsebstet2019.in. All candidates who qualified in the Bihar State Teachers Eligibility Test (Bihar STET) 2019 will be considered for the upcoming recruitment, even those who are not on the merit list. Apart from these, STET 2011 qualified candidates will also be considered.

The Bihar STET exam is being conducted to recruit candidates for the teachers’ post in government-run schools in Bihar.

As reported by Live Hindustan, the minister further said, “Qualified candidates in the STET 2019 will be considered for the 7th teacher planning. It doesn't matter if these candidates appear on the merit list or not, they will be considered for the upcoming recruitment.”

The department will release a notification regarding the same shortly, the report added.

He said that the education department respects the guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), as per which the validity of the TET certificate has also been extended to lifetime. Earlier, the overall result of Bihar STET sparing 3 subjects - Urdu, Sanskrit, Science - for 106 candidates was upheld.

24,599 candidates qualified in Bihar STET 2019 exam , out of which 16,068 qualified in paper 1, and 8,531 in paper 2. The Bihar STET 2019 exam had two papers and was conducted for 15 subjects from September 9 to 21, 2020. As per data shared by Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Bihar, a total of 1,78,516 candidates appeared in both the papers.
