BPSC 71st CCE 2025 vacancies increases to 1,264; addition of 14 deputy police superintendent posts

BPSC 71st CCE 2025: The last date to register for the exam is June 30. Prelims paper is scheduled on August 30.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has increased the number of vacancies for BPSC 71st Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) to 1,264 from 1,250 under the various departments of the state government. The BPSC 71st CCE 2025 prelims exam is scheduled on August 30.
The last date to register for the BPSC 71st CCE 2025 prelims exam is June 30. Interested candidates can apply for the prelims exam on the official website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in, before the last date.
Recently, a requisition has been received from the home department (Police branch), Bihar, Patna, for 14 vacant posts of deputy superintendent of police. Earlier, only 1,250 were available for BPSC recruitment.
The application fee for the general category is Rs 600, and other categories candidate including female candidates, have to pay Rs 150. Also, candidates have to pay an additional Rs 200 as a biometric fee for each exam.
As per the BPSC prelims exam pattern, one-third marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The paper comprises multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the exam. Candidates who qualify for the BPSC 71st CCE prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exams.
BPSC exam is held for various gazetted posts, including deputy superintendent of police, jailer, block development officer (BDO), etc, in various state government departments.
