NEW DELHI: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted a three-day discussion programme on the subject of effective arrangements and their implementation in the intermediate and matriculation examinations from the upcoming year. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Anand Kishore, Chairman, BSEB from June 22 to June 24.

During this three-day discussion organized by the committee, various stakeholders of the committee gave important suggestions involved in the Class 10th and 12th examinations.

To make the conduct of matriculation and intermediate examinations better and excellent through the use of high technology BSEB gave the following instructions.

  • A software will be developed to ensure payment to examiners and other exam staff in two days.
  • A randomization software will be developed to assign observers for the exam which will facilitate the selection and deployment of observers to various exam centers.
  • A dashboard facility will be provided on the committee's website for schools and district education officers. This will enable schools to access and monitor examination-related data filled in during the exam.
  • A committee will be formed to review and determine the remuneration for officials, teachers, and personnel involved in exam conduct and evaluation. The remuneration will be based on preferences, nature of work, time allocated, and committee recommendations.
  • From the year 2024, it will be mandatory to carry a copy of aadhaar or a photo identity card along with the admit card to the exam centre.
  • Dummy OMR sheets will be given to the students so that they can get used to OMR sheets.
  • The committee will select and inspect examination and evaluation centres across all districts. The office bearers will conduct physical verification of these centres in advance.
  • From 2024, the registration of students will be taken at the time of enrollment in Class 9.
  • The committee will organize district-level discussions, orientations, and training sessions before evaluating intermediate and matriculation answer sheets, in addition to the meetings held in the districts for the same purpose.
  • From the upcoming year, the roll number, roll code and subject of each student will be printed and pasted on their seats.
  • The online entry of results of the sent-up examination will also be done by all the schools. This system will be implemented from this year.
