APSCHE has announced the final phase seat allotment result for the AP EAMCET counselling 2025 today, August 14. Candidates can check AP EAMCET 2nd phase results 2025 on the official website, eapcet-sche.aptonline.in.

KEA has revised the KCET counselling 2025 schedule and the last date to exercise choices by the candidates was August 11 till 11 am. Candidates can offline report to the allotted institutes from August 15.

The Joint Admission Committee (JAC) has revised the schedule for the JAC Chandigarh counselling 2025 and accordingly the second spot round seat allotment result will now be published on August 23. 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has admitted 12 students through fine arts and science olympiad quotas for undergraduate admissions. While nine student have been shortlisted for the creative arts. three candidates have been selected for achievements in olmpiad.

ICT Mumbai has also introduced 13 multidisciplinary minors (MDMs) for undergraduate students to have access to knowledge beyond their stream and attain a minor degree.

COMEDK UGET round 2 schedule for BTech admissions is as follows. 

The list of top engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, along with their National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings and Careers360 ranking, is given below.

Students can take admission to BTech colleges in India that do not accept the JEE Main result and conduct their own entrance exams. Students can opt for an alternative BTech entrance exam such as WBJEE, KEAM, MHT CET, and VITEEE for admission to engineering courses. 

According to the official notice, the dates for the Karnataka UGCET counselling round 1 will not be extended after this.

AKTU has declared the UPTAC round 4 allotment results 2025. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay the admission fee by August 15. The physical reporting to college will commence on August 18 to 21. 

AP EAMCET phase 2 allotment 2025 results have been postponed following the intervention of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. As per several media reports, result postponement follows petitions filed by candidates who have completed their Class 12 outside the state but claim domicile in the state.

Over 1.62 lakh candidates have been allotted seats in BE and BTech programmes in Maharashtra colleges. The last date for MHT CET round 2 college reporting is today, August 14. 

The TNEA 2025 supplementary counselling Schedule is as follows. 

Candidates will have to submit an Aadhaar card, parental income details, class 10 and 12 mark sheets, registration number, caste certificate, and PwD certificate if applicable, during the counselling process.

The Karnataka UGCET 2025 counselling choice selection for BTech and other courses will close on August 14, 11 am. Candidates can select preferred colleges and programmes to participate in the current round through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

VIT Vellore provides scholarships through the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP) for students who achieve top ranks in the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE). These scholarships include tuition fee waivers and freeships for high-performing candidates. Additionally, the STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students) scheme offers a full fee waiver, covering both academic and hostel expenses, to the top 10 students from rural government schools with an annual family income of up to INR 1.5 lakh.

Despite 1,89,277 options being submitted for 1,83,760 seats, 21,555 seats remain unfilled at the end of round 2. Officials clarified that candidates who self-froze allotment outside their top three preferences must accept the seat and pay the acceptance fee. These candidates cannot participate in subsequent rounds.

Maharashtra CET Cell has completed the round 2 seat allotment for BE, BTech courses. Around 1,62,205 candidates have been allotted seats out of 1,83,760 available across MH, EWS, MI, TFWS, and AIQ quotas. Allotted candidates should complete online and offline reporting, self-verification, and pay the seat acceptance fee by August 14 to confirm admission.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) had launched a scheme to grant autonomy to polytechnic colleges two years ago. The Calcutta HC has directed the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to publish a fresh merit list within 15 days, by August 22. The WBJEE 2025 exam was held on April 27.

In accordance with NEP 2020, COEP plans to introduce various engineering courses in the academic year 2025-26 and also increase the number of intake for core engineering courses. The intake will be increased from 75 to 150 for BTech Civil Engineering, while for BTech Computer Science and Engineering from 150 to 300. 

According to the data shared by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), a total of 1,83,760 engineering seats under Maharashtra (MH), EWS, MI, TFWS, and AIQ were available for round 2 engineering admissions. Even after 1,89,277 options were filled for 1.83 lakh seats, only 1,62,205 seats were allotted in round 2.

All India Council for Technical Education plans to counter the stereotype that the MTech is just an extension of BTech programmes with programmes in areas such as defence technology, space technology, and quantum technologies.  AICTE chairperson TG Sitharam also spoke to Careers360 about the hurdles engineering colleges are facing in BTech lateral entry admissions.

The College of Engineering Pune (COEP Pune) vice chancellor spoke to Careers360 about his plans to diversify its academic programme, increase seat intake for BTech programmes, and collaborate with foreign universities. The number of seats for computer science, civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineering will be doubled, besides adding a division of courses in AI and machine learning.

The MHT CET Counselling 2025 round 3 and 4 schedule is given below. 

Calcutta HC has ordered the WBJEEB board to declare a fresh merit list of examinees, as the current one did not match with the court's earlier order on OBC reservations. WBJEEB has to publish a fresh merit list within 15 days.

The Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department has expanded the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission to professional courses for the academic year 2025. The department will conduct four rounds of MHT CET CAP counselling. In the CAP round 2 admission process, over 21,000 engineering seats are left vacant.

Through an alternative way of BTech admission, this year, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has admitted nine students with exceptional talents in creative arts, and three with science olympiad achievements into its programme. Nine students have secured seats through the Fine Arts and Culture Excellence Admissions Scheme (FACE) initiative.

The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has declared the COMEDK UGET 2025 round 2 allotment result. Candidates will have to report to the allotted college by August 16 and accept their admissions.
