Disappointed over the institute’s decision to reschedule CA exams May 2024 between May 2-16, the aspirants filed a plea in the high court demanding further postponement citing issues of transport, election rallies, disturbance, among others.
As soon as ICAI announced revised dates of CA exam for Intermediate and Final courses, students took to social media opposing the new dates and demanding CA exam postponement to dates after elections. CA Inter exams 2024 will be held on May 3, 5, and 9 for group 1 and on May 11, 15, and 17 for group 2. CA Final exams 2024 will be conducted on May 2, 4, and 8 and May 10, 14, and 16 for group 1 and 2 respectively.
The institute had rescheduled the exam dates due to clash with Lok Sabha general elections 2024 which are scheduled from April 19 to June 1. Initially, the CA Inter exams 2024 were scheduled from May 3 to May 13 and CA Final group 1 and 2 exams were scheduled from May 2 to 12.
A fake notice also went viral on social media claiming postponement of ICAI CA exam to June. Before the postponement of the CA exam, several aspirants and CAs speculated about the deferment of exams by three weeks. The institute had already announced that it may postpone the CA May session exams to avoid clash with the 18th Lok Sabha polls this year.
