The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad is expected to announce the CAT exam 2021 result tomorrow, January 3, 2022, at iimcat.ac.in. Aspirants will be able to access the
CAT result 2021
using their CAT login id and password. Along with the CAT exam 2021 result, the authorities will also release the IIM CAT 2021 topper’s list and statistics.

How to download the CAT 2021 result?

Visit the IIM CAT 2021 website - iimcat.ac.in

Click on the ‘CAT Result’ link

Login using the CAT user ID and password

Click on the ‘IIM CAT Score Card’ tab

The CAT result 2021 will be displayed on the screen

Download CAT 2021 result
After the declaration of CAT result, IIM's will release the CAT cutoff individually and the IIM shortlisting will begin, based on individual CAT cut offs. The CAT 2021 cutoff will include the minimum marks required by aspirants to be eligible for admission into MBA courses.
The authorities will start the admission process soon after the CAT 2021 result declaration. Only those candidates who will qualify for the CAT 2021 exam will be eligible to participate in the IIMs admission process. Along with the candidates’ performance in the CAT exam 2021, the shortlisting of students will also be done based on Personal Interview, Written Ability Test/ Group Discussion. Basically, the selection procedure for IIMs for CAT 2021 consists of three rounds:

Round 1: CAT 2021 Result and IIM Shortlist

Round 2: WAT and GD-PI rounds

Round 3: Final Selection and Eligibility Verification
CAT 2021 was conducted as a computer-based test on November 28. The authorities released the CAT answer key 2021 on December 8 and students were allowed to challenge it till December 11.
CAT 2021 percentile calculation
To calculate CAT percentile score, follow these steps:

Step 1: Calculate the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for CAT

Step 2: Assign a rank (r), based on the CAT 2021 scaled scores obtained in the VARC section, to all students who appeared for the CAT entrance exam. In the case of two or more students obtaining identical scaled scores in the VARC section, assign identical ranks to all those students.

Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the VARC section as:

P = [(N − r)/N] x 100

Step 4: Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a student up to two decimal points
