CBSE 2023 Updates: CBSE Class 12 Biology exam 'moderate'; question paper analysis, students reactions

A balanced distribution of questions was found in the biology paper, including questions that were easy, average and difficult. The paper had a well-defined focus for a diverse group of students. The questions in sections B, C, and D were moderately challenging, but Part E was mostly direct. Despite following the CBSE 2023 biology sample paper's format, the paper also required technical application to answer the questions. Students who have thoroughly prepared with NCERT books will do well in the exam.

Today's class 12 Biology paper level was easy to moderate. The questions were NCERT based with a slight change in language. Starting with section A the MCQ and the assertion reason questions were quite tricky. Sections B and C were easy. Section D was case study-based questions were moderate. The easiest part of the paper was section E.

Saying that the biology 2023 question paper was balanced with a mix of application and memory-based questions, Sonia Saraswat, PGT, Biology, DPS Raj Nagar Extension said: "The difficulty level was same as that of CBSE sample paper. Students found Assertion and reason questions bit tricky, Section B, C and D were of moderate level, while Section E had majorly direct questions. Students who had thoroughly prepared from NCERT will score well."

The biology Class 12 paper was analysed as balanced by Pratibha Sharma , Academic Director Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir Delhi.

• The multiple choice questions in section A were easy
• Section C had all the direct questions from NCERT and it is scoring
• Both the case based questions in section D were tricky
• All the questions from section E were also direct. 

The CBSE board conducted the Class 12 Biology papers.

• Section–A will consist of 16 questions of one mark each
• Section–B will have five questions of two marks each
• Section– C will have seven questions of three marks each
• Section– D will consist of two case-based questions of four marks each
• Section–E  will have three questions of five marks each.

Ms Pooja Hoel, PGT Biology, MRG School said, "The level of biology paper was moderate. MCQs were highly scoring, however few subjective questions were tricky and required critical thinking. The paper was structured as per CBSE guidelines only, but the overall paper required technical thinking and application".

CBSE class 12 Biology exam concluded at 1:30 pm today, March 16. Students will soon get the question paper analysis and answer key shared by the subject experts.

The CBSE Class 12 board exam requires a minimum score of 33 per cent to pass. Moreover, candidates must also need to secure at least 33 per cent aggregate marks. Candidates with aggregate marks of 33 per cent or higher but less than 33 per cent in any subject are required to take the supplementary exam.

CBSE Class 12 biology exam will end at 1:30 pm.

Students will have to score at least 33 per cent marks in theory and practical separately to qualify CBSE class 10 exam 2023.

A total of 16,96,770 students are appearing for the CBSE class 12 board exams 2023.

CBSE allows grace marks to the students who are failing in only one subject by a few marks.

The CBSE 12th Economics 2023 question paper will have two sections:
Section A – Macro Economics
Section B – Indian Economic Development

• The paper contains 20 MCQ-type questions of 1 mark each.
• This paper contains 4 short answer type questions of 3 marks each to be answered in 60 to 80 words.
• The 12th economics paper contains 6 short answer type questions of 4 marks each to be answered in 80 to 100 words.
• This paper contains 4 Long Answer Questions type questions of 6 marks each to be answered in 100 to 150 words.

CBSE Class 12 board exams 2023 will be held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM for a duration of three hours. The entry gate will close at 10 AM.

The CBSE class 12 biology question paper will be divided into five sections: A, B, C, D and E. The question paper will comprise of 33 questions.

CBSE usually declares the results for Class 10th, 12th board examination 2023 in a span of one-two months.

The CBSE 12th biology question paper will be divided into five sections and will be comprised of 33 questions. There is no overall choice. However, internal choices have been provided for some questions. A student has to attempt only one of the alternatives in such questions. Wherever necessary, neat and properly labeled diagrams should be drawn.
