Students are appearing for the science exam today, after this the next exam will be held on March 4, 2024 for home science and multi skill foundation course.

The CBSE 10th science exam will be conducted from 10:30 am, students will get the question paper at 10:15 am. Students should utilise these 15 minutes to read and understand the question paper.

• CBSE Class 10th question paper will be issued to students at 10.15 am. 15 minutes will be given to students for reading the paper.

• Section A will consist of 20 objective-type questions carrying 1 mark each 
• Section B will have 6 very short questions carrying 2 marks each; answers to these questions should range between 30 to 50 words.
• Section C of the question paper will have 7 short answer type questions carrying 3 marks each and should be answered in the range of 50 to 80 words. 
• Section D consists of 3 long answer type questions carrying 5 marks each to be answered in the range of 80 to 120 words. Section E will have 3 source-based or case-based units of assessment of 4 marks each with sub-parts.

Unit-wise mark distribution for CBSE Class 10 science paper is given below. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 10 science paper today. The board exam 2024 will be held between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. 

The theory paper will be of 80 marks, while the internal evaluation will be of 20 marks.

Students require 33% in each subject and in aggregate to pass the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2024. 

CBSE 2024 compartment exams is expected to be conducted in July 2024.

Students appearing for CBSE Class 10 Science exam 2024 should carry their admit card and school identity card on the exam day.

Candidates will have to carry their admit card to the exam centre on all exam days.

Appearing candidates will have to bring their own stationery to the exam centre.

CBSE board exams 2024 started on February 15. Class 10 exams will end on March 13 and Class 12 on April 2.

The CBSE Class 10 Science board exam will be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

The CBSE Class 10 calculation criteria says that no overall division/distinction/aggregate shall be awarded. If a Class 10 student has over five subjects, then to determine the best five subjects may be taken by the admitting institution or employer. The board does not calculate/declare/inform the percentage of marks. If the percentage of marks is required for higher education or in employment the calculation if any, may be done by admitting institution or employer.

• When appearing for the exam, students need to bring their CBSE 10th admit card 2024 with them. Without the CBSE admit card, entry inside the examination hall will not be permitted.
• According to the CBSE board class 10 date sheet 2024, all students are required to arrive at the exam centre half an hour before the scheduled time.

Last year, the CBSE 10th date sheet 2023 was released on December 29, 2022. CBSE held its CBSE 10th board theory exams from February 15, 2023 to March 21, 2023, as well as its CBSE 10th practical exams from January 2, 2023 to February 14, 2023. The practical exams/project work/Internal assessment for all the schools affiliated with the CBSE board (except winter-bound schools) were held during the mentioned time frame.

This question paper consists of 39 questions in 5 sections. All questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice is provided in some questions. A student is expected to attempt only one of these questions.

• Section A consists of 20 objective type questions carrying 1 mark each.
• Section B consists of 6 Very Short questions carrying 02 marks each. Answers to these questions should be in the range of 30 to 50 words.
• Section C consists of 7 Short Answer type questions carrying 03 marks each. Answers to these questions should be in the range of 50 to 80 words.
• Section D consists of 3 Long Answer type questions carrying 05 marks each. Answers to these questions should be in the range of 80 to 120 words.
• Section E consists of 3 source-based/case-based units of assessment of 04 marks each with sub-parts.
