CBSE allows Class 10, 12 main 2020 students to appear in term 2 board exams

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has clarified the eligibility of the students who appeared in CBSE Board exam 2020 and could not clear the compartment exam. Extending the eligibility criteria, the CBSE said these students can appear as private candidates for compartment exams along with CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 board exams 2022.

“This decision has been taken as a special one-time measure for session 2021-2022 only considering the special circumstances,” the CBSE said in its latest notice.
According to the official statement, “It has been decided that the candidates who appeared in Main 2020 under full subject category and were placed in compartment and who could not clear their compartment exams in subsequent chances will also be eligible to register and appear as private candidates in compartment exams being conducted along with the term 2 exam 2022 for both Class 10, 12.”
Earlier, the board announced that the students who were placed in compartment in main 2021 exam and candidates who have been placed in compartment in August/ September 2021 are eligible to register as private candidates for compartment examination which was scheduled to be held along with the CBSE Class 10, 12 term 2 board exams.

CBSE is now conducting the Class 10, 12 term 1 board exams. CBSE Class 10th Hindi paper 2021, Class 12 geography paper was held today. The CBSE Class 10 exam 2021 will end on December 11, 2021, whereas CBSE Class 12 exams for major subjects will be held till December 22.
