Download EBookNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the CBSE Class 10 mathematics exam 2021 on December 4 for basic and standard. Most students found the question paper lengthy and moderately difficult. CBSE Class 10 maths answer key 2021 for standard and basic was also released yesterday.

The CBSE Class 10 maths term 1 exam 2021 had three sections - Section A, B, C. Students had to attend 16 questions out of 20 respectively in Section A and B, while in section C 8 questions out of 10 had to be answered. Students must note that there is no negative marking for Class 10 term 1 exam 2021.

Seema Behl, Principal, Brain International School said, "The Maths paper for standard level was lengthy, 30 percent of the questions in the paper can be considered as difficult, 20 per cent easy and 50 per cent was average. The case study portion in the paper has no similarity with that in the sample papers. In sample papers, the candidates have to attempt 8 out of 10 questions, while in the paper today the options were reduced to 4 out of 5."
Section-wise, the difficulty level in Section B was standard, while the rest was in the higher level. "Most of the candidates in our school could not complete the paper within time and were tensed about their scores," Behl added.

Arjun Singh, TGT Maths, Mount Abu Public School, Rohini reviewed the Class 10 Maths standard paper as lenghthy and tricky. "There were too calculation based questions in the paper, and options in few questions were a bit similar and confusing. It was tough to complete the paper within time, good student can expect a score around 35."
Mala Kapoor, Principal, Silverline Prestige School, Ghaziabad said, “The paper consists of 50 MCQ. The students have to attempt 40 questions. Two case studies were also included. Trigonometry questions were a little tricky. Similar Triangles questions were based on real concepts. Students were happy with the paper. Overall it was a balanced paper.”

Meanwhile, students also claimed on social media that the there were mistakes in the CBSE Class 10 maths answer key 2021.
“If you agree that there can be errors in the question paper or answer keys, you should stop the evaluation process or you should release the correct answer for the students. How can u expect us to prepare for next exams under so much stress #CBSE #cbseterm1,” a students said on Twitter.

Another student said, “Ok, Assertion-Reasoning in science and SST is still understandable but the maths (S) answer key is also rigged....wth is the CBSE, you can't even make a simple question paper with clear and correct answers...{Q 1, 46, 50 are marked wrong}.”

Students should note that if they find any discrepancy in CBSE Class 10 maths answer key 2021, he/she should contact respective schools. Schools can share feedback with the board, as per the latest CBSE notice. CBSE will consider all the objections while preparing CBSE Class 10 board exam result 2021.
