CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Result 2026: Scanned copy, verification, re-evaluation dates announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for post-result facilities for students who appeared in Class 12 supplementary examination 2026. The facilities include obtaining a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book, verification of marks, and re-evaluation. As per the board's notice, students will first have to apply for a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. Only candidates who obtain the scanned copy through the prescribed process will be eligible to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.

The application window for obtaining a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book will remain open from August 31 to September 1, 2026. The processing fee is Rs 100 per subject. Candidates seeking verification of marks or re-evaluation can apply on September 7 and 8, 2026. The fee for verification is Rs 100 per answer book, while re-evaluation will cost Rs 100 per question.

CBSE to conduct process online

CBSE has clarified that the entire process, including submission of applications and payment of processing fees, will be conducted online. Applications submitted after the prescribed deadline or through offline mode will not be accepted. The board has also said that fees can be paid only through UPI, credit card, debit card, or net banking.

After receiving the scanned answer book, students can examine their responses and marks for possible discrepancies. The board has advised candidates to check whether all questions have been evaluated, whether marks have been correctly entered, and whether the totals in the answer book match the marks displayed in the result or DigiLocker.

Re-evaluation will be available only for the theory portion of the examination. It will be conducted for the full question and not for an individual part of a question. Students seeking re-evaluation have been advised to refer to the relevant marking scheme and provide reasoning while submitting their request.

CBSE has cautioned students that marks can increase or decrease following verification or re-evaluation. Even a decrease of one mark will be taken into account. The result of re-evaluation will be final, and no appeal or review against it will be entertained.

The board has advised students and parents to rely on official CBSE communication channels and not on unverified social media posts or rumours for information regarding the post-result process.
