More than 45 lakh students are expected to appear in the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027. The board will conduct the school exams in a pen-and-paper mode for a duration of two-and-a-half hours.
As per the previous years trends, the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027 are expected to begin between February and March.
According to the media reports, the tentative CBSE board exam 2027 date sheet is expected to be out in late September 2026, while the final exam dates will be announced between October and November 2026.

Furthermore, the CBSE has published the sample papers for both Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027. The sample papers will provide a guide for making scheme, weightage, and important chapters.

As per the passing criteria, students should have to score at least 33% marks in each subject to be declared pass in the CBSE 10th and 12th board exams 2027.

CBSE 2027 date sheet soon; grading system
CBSE Class 10 uses a 9-point grading system (A1 to E) instead of giving grades based only on marks. The grades are decided based on a student's performance compared with other students who passed. A1 is the highest grade, and students must get at least a D grade (33% overall) to pass.
