Central University of South Bihar to launch 7 new courses from 2020

NEW DELHI: The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) will introduce seven new academic programmes from the session 2020-21. Out of these seven new-courses, five are of postgraduate level, while two programmes are of doctorate level. The five PG level courses include M.Sc geography, MSc. geology, M.Ped (Master of physical education), M Pharma (pharmaceuticals) and M Pharma (pharmacology), while the PhD programmes would be offered in commerce and history.
According to a report by The Hindustan Times, the central university has invited applications for 52 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level, including the seven new programmes.
The report has further quoted Muddasir Alam, the Public Relation Officer of CUSB saying, “Earlier the university was conducting 45 courses including three undergraduate (UG) courses, 22 post-graduate (PG) courses and 20 PhD programmes. From this year, seven new courses have been added.”
The applications have been invited for 1777 seats - 276 seats at UG level, 1171 at PG level and 330 seats at PhD level. Candidates can apply for all courses at the university through CUCET 2020 till April 25.
It must be noted that admission to the Central University of South Bihar in its UG, PG and post PG courses is offered through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). The CUSB is one of the 14 central universities that offer admission to various programmes through the common entrance test.
For 2020, the CUCET is slated to be held in offline mode on May 30 and 31 for UG and PG programmes, while the test for PhD courses will be conducted in computer-based mode on June 6 and 7.
