CUTN announces one-time special supplementary exams for former students

CUTN 2025: The one-time special exam is being conducted for former students who want to obtain their degrees. The registration deadline is July 7.
The Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has announced to conduct one-time special supplementary exams for former CUTN students. The CUTN supplementary exams are being held for students who have completed the academic tenure but did not qualify in various subject exams to obtain their degrees.
The opportunity is for students from the CUTN first batch of 2009-10 to 2022-23 final year or outgoing students. CUTN targets former and outgoing students who were not able to pass their exams essential for graduation, with a chance to obtain their qualification degree.
Interested and eligible candidates can complete their online registration through the official portal, exam.cutn.ac.in:8080/course-reg-2025-05-supp/, before the last date, July 7. The application fee for theory papers is Rs 1,600 per subject, for practical exam Rs 1,375 per subject, and grade card issuance is Rs 200.

Sulochana Shekhar, the controller of examinations at CUTN highlighted that initiative aligns with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and said. "The NEP encourages flexibility and inclusivity in higher education. This is a student-centric decision aimed at ensuring that a temporary hurdle does not result in a permanent barrier to academic achievement. The programme is being implemented as per the guidance of vice-chancellor M Krishnan, reflecting the university's commitment to student welfare and academic inclusivity."
