NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 exam day instructions. The CLAT 2025 exam day guidelines PDF includes bell timings, things to carry, permitted items and marking scheme. CLAT 2025 exam date is December 1, 2024. The CLAT 2025 exam will be conducted for two hours, from 2 pm to 4 pm in pen-and-paper mode.

As per the official CLAT 2025 exam day guidelines PDF, Candidates are permitted to enter the test centre from 1 pm onwards. Candidates are required to be seated in the CLAT 2025 exam centre by 1: 30 pm. Once the CLAT 2025 exam begins, candidates cannot leave the hall before 4:00 pm and are not permitted to use the washroom.

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines PDF: Necessary documents

Candidates are required to bring the following documents on CLAT 2025 exam day.

  • CLAT 2025 admit card
  • In case, if the candidate’s photograph is not clear on the admit
  • card, candidate are required to bring a self-attested photograph
  • Candidate’s government ID proof
  • Disability certificate (for PwD candidates)

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Instructions: Permitted items

The following items are permitted inside the CLAT 2025 test centre

  • Black or blue ball point pens
  • Transparent water bottle
  • An analogue watch

The CLAT 2025 exam day guidelines PDF read, “Possession of electronic devices including mobile phones, headphones and digital watches is strictly prohibited in the test centre premises. impersonation or any other fraudulent practice during the test may amount to criminal offence, and will lead to your disqualification and also penal action shall be initiated against the candidate as per the law.”

CLAT 2025: Answering process and rough work

The CLAT 2025 question booklet will display the candidate's photograph, name, and admit card number, which are required to be verified upon receipt. As per CLAT 2025 exam day guidelines PDF, the booklet contains 120 MCQs and two blank pages for rough work, with no additional sheets provided.

Candidates are required to use only the designated space for rough work and cannot mark elsewhere in the booklet. Any discrepancies in the question booklet are required to be reported to the invigilator for replacement, ensuring the new QB is used with a fresh OMR sheet. Additionally, candidates are required to enter their admit card number on the first page of the CLAT 2025 question booklet at the start of the test.

For CLAT 2025, candidates are required to answer all questions on the provided carbonized OMR response sheet using a black or blue ballpoint pen only. As per CLAT 2025 guidelines, the OMR sheet must not be damaged or used for rough work, as this will result in disqualification.

The CLAT 2025 exam day guidelines PDF states that answers should be fully shaded, with no stray marks, double shading, or incomplete shading. At the end of the test, both the candidate and invigilator are required to sign the OMR sheet before detaching the carbonized copy. As per the CLAT 2025 exam day instructions, carrying the original OMR sheet out of the exam hall is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and legal action.
