NEW DELHI, JANUARY 28: National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the morning/ first shift of CMAT 2019 (9.30 AM to 12.30 PM). According to the analysis of first shift candidates, the exam was quite easy as compared to other management entrance examinations like CAT, XAT, IIFT exams. Most of them solved around 75- 90 percent questions within a span of 120 -150 minutes. It was a glitch-free exam and test takers are confident of scoring high marks. More than 64,000 candidates are expected to appear for CMAT 2019 exam.
CMAT 2019 is an online (computer-based test) and the total duration of the test is 180 minutes. All four sections such as Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Language Comprehension and General Awareness were composed of easy-to-solve questions. The reading comprehension section had simple and easy passages and most of the candidates solved it much ahead of time.
Among the four sections, candidates stumbled a bit in the General Awareness/GK section due to the out-of-the-box questions. Questions were related to post-office. Also, there was one question on Sigma in the Quantitative section mentioned below-

CMAT 2019 Analysis - Number of Questions and Scoring Pattern
As per the candidates who appeared in the first shift, there were no out-of-syllabus questions. The paper had 100 questions and 400 marks in total. Each section had 25 questions to be answered in 180 minutes/ three (3) hours.
The afternoon/second shift will begin at 2:30 PM and continue until 5:30 PM. The result of CMAT 2019 will be announced on February 8, 2019, and will be made available to test takers via online mode only. The CMAT 2019 scorecard download link will be sent to the registered email address by the officials. It will be on the basis of the CMAT 2019 merit list that the candidates will be shortlisted and called in for further admission process for final admission.
