NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2022 notification. According to the official notification, CTET 2022 registration will begin from October 31. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to apply on the official website – ctet.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 24 and candidates can pay the fee till November 25, 3:30pm. CTET 2022 will be conducted in December 2022.
General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for two papers. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and differently-abled candidates will have to pay Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.

CBSE will conduct CTET 2022 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode between December 2022 and January 2023. “The exact date of examination will be mentioned on the admit cards of the candidates. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in soon,” read CBSE’s official notification.
The board informed candidates that the examination city of their choice will be allotted on first-cum-first-served basis only as per availability of capacity in the exam city.
The total capacity in a particular city will also be available on the portal. If the total capacity of a particular city is full during completion of CTET application process or making payment of exam fee or updation of transaction on portal, the candidate will be given the option either to select any other city or cancel the transaction. If a candidate cancels the transaction, full fee will be refunded to their account and application will not be considered for CTET 2022. The request for change of examination city will not be accepted in any case.
The CTET exam includes two papers. The first paper is for the candidates who wish to teach in Classes 1 to 5, and the second paper is for those who wish to teach in Classes 6 to 9. The CTET exam is conducted twice a year and the validity of the CTET score is for a lifetime.
