The Central Board of Secondary Education will soon announce the CTET exam date at ctet.nic.in. After that, as per past trends, the CBSE issues the CTET city intimation slip 10 to 15 days before the examination. Candidates can check the official website for the latest updates.

The CBSE has not announced the CTET admit card date on the official notification. However, candidates may expect the CTET admit card 2 to 3 days before the examination. The CTET exam date 2026 will be announced soon.

The Science section of CTET Paper 2 consists of 30 questions, divided into 20 questions on content and 10 questions on pedagogical issues. Check the CTET paper 2 syllabus for science paper here.

The CTET exam date will be announced soon. Candidates can check the CTET 2026 shift timings for both paper 1 and 2 are shown below.

• Paper 2 for Classes 6 to 8 from 09:30 am to 12 noon
• Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm in afternoon shift

The CTET 2026 passing marks are as follows:

• General category: 90 marks (60%)
• Reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, and PwD: 82 marks (55%)

CBSE is expected to announce the revised CTET exam date soon on the official website. The CTET exam date will be announced for paper 1 and paper 2.

As per the CTET paper pattern, the question paper consists of five papers with 30 questions in each section. Candidates can check the table below for the CTET 2026 exam pattern.

Candidates appearing for the CTET 2026 exam must ensure that they do not carry any prohibited items to the examination centre. The list of banned items includes:

• Stationery items: Books, notes, papers, geometry boxes, calculators, scales, writing pads, pen drives, erasers, whiteners, electronic pens and scanners.
• Communication devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers and health bands.
• Personal belongings: Watches, wallets, goggles, handbags and gold or artificial jewellery.
• Other electronic gadgets: Cameras and any other devices or items that could be used for unfair means or to facilitate communication during the examination.

Candidates will be able to download their CTET admit card 2026 from the official website and appear for the examination at the centre mentioned on it. If candidates find any discrepancy in their personal details, photograph, signature or other information on the CTET 2026 admit card compared with the confirmation page, they should immediately contact the CTET unit for necessary corrections.

Candidates appearing for the September exam can access the CTET admit card and city slip on the official website at ctet.nic.in.

• Visit the official website, ctet.nic.in
• Click on the CTET 2026 candidate portal
• Now, click on the 'CTET admit card September 2026' link
• Enter the roll number and date of birth, and submit
• CTET admit card will appear on the screen
• Download it and take printout for future use

After the announcement of CTET exam date and city intimation slip activation date, candidates can download the CTET 2026 city slip on the official website ctet.nic.in.

The CBSE had earlier scheduled the CTET exam for September 6, 2026, with September 5 as the reserve date. However, following the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the exam has been postponed, and the CBSE has not yet announced a revised date. The CTET new exam date is expected to be announced soon.

Candidates will be able to access the CTET exam city link once it is activated on the official website. The CBSE will issue the CTET 2026 exam city slip at ctet.nic.in.
