CUCET 2022: Know UG admission process for this year

From this year on, the UG admission to all 45 central universities will be based on the common entrance test alone. Though the universities will have the liberty in deciding their respective admission processes, the CUCET scores are mandatory for UG admissions 2022 in these universities.

The CUET admission process will not affect the specific admission criteria followed in a university. For instance, the reservation policy for seats and how to conduct counseling will remain a university’s decision, UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said.

This year, the NTA and UGC have decided not to conduct common counselling for UG admission. The NTA, however, will provide the CUCET scores based on which a merit list will be prepared. Universities will be required to use this merit list and CUET score to admit students in different courses.
