CUET PG 2026 Normalisation Method: How NTA awards scores?
The testing agency uses a normalisation method based on percentile scores for CUET PG 2026 test takers , ensuring that candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level or multiple sessions of the exams.
As per NTA, the percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below that particular percentile in that examination. Therefore, the topper (highest score) of each session will get the same percentile of 100, which is desirable. Also, the marks obtained between the highest and lowest scores are converted to appropriate percentiles.
CUET PG 2026 percentile score is calculated as follows:
|
100 X Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Session’ with a raw score Equal to or less than the candidate/ Total number of candidates appeared in the session |
Note: The Percentile of the total shall NOT be an aggregate or average of the percentiles of individual subjects. The percentile score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.
The testing agency conducted the CUET PG exam 2026 from May 11 to 31 across the country. CUET PG 2026 results will be based on the final answer keys issued after the objections raised, if any.
