DASA UG, CSAB special rounds 2026 counselling dates out; full schedule

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Apex board has released the counselling dates for the Direct Admission of Students Abroad Undergraduate (DASA UG) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) Special Rounds 2026 on the official website of CSAB at csab.nic.in.

According to the schedule, physical reporting and admission-related formalities will be conducted from August 13 to August 18, 2026 (tentative). During this period, candidates must report to their respective institutes and complete the payment of the remaining institute fee to confirm their admission. The final reporting schedule will be subject to confirmation by the concerned authorities and participating institutes.

Candidates who secure seats through the DASA UG 2026 or CSAB Special Rounds 2026 counselling process will be required to complete physical reporting at their allotted institutes.

About DASA UG and CSAB Special Rounds 2026 Counselling

DASA UG 2026 is a counselling and admission process conducted for foreign nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG) seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs and other participating institutes. Admissions are generally offered based on JEE Main ranks and eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

CSAB Special Rounds 2026 are conducted by the CSAB to fill vacant seats remaining after the completion of JoSAA counselling. Eligible candidates who have participated in JEE Main can register for these special rounds to compete for unfilled seats in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other participating institutions, providing an additional opportunity for admission.
