Incidents reported earlier this year
Earlier this year, Gautam Buddh Nagar police responded to three bomb threat incidents that later turned out to be hoaxes.
On January 23, ahead of Republic Day, around 20 schools in Noida received threat emails. On February 19, during the board examination period, 18 schools were targeted. A bomb threat was also reported at the District Magistrate's office in Greater Noida on July 13.
All three incidents triggered extensive security checks, but none of the threats was found to be genuine.
