DU fifth cut-off 2021 admission begins; Nearly 2000 seats available

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has begun the admission process of DU fifth cut-off 2021 for undergraduate courses today, October 9. In the fifth cut-off of DU 2021, Jesus and Mary College set a 99.75% cut-off for BA Hons Psychology (for candidates who have not included psychology in the best of four subjects).

While most of the colleges closed admissions for the unreserved category seats, many reopened the admissions in some courses. Kirori Mal College reopened the admissions for BSc Hons Mathematics at 97.75%. Lady Shri Ram College for Women once again started the admissions for BA Hons English and BA Hons Philosophy. Ramjas College reopened the admissions for BA Hons Sanskrit and Aryabhatta college reopend the admission in BA Hons History for general category students.

LSR has recorded a 99.25% cut-off score for BA programme Political Science + Psychology. The cut-off score for BA Hons Journalism at LSR is 98.25%, down by 0.25 as against the DU fourth cut-off list 2021.

Manish Kansal, admission convenor of Hindu College said that all the seats in unreserved category are already filled except for one BA programme. There is only one or two seats left for the unreserved category in BA programme Hindi + Philosophy.

The Delhi University colleges released the 5th cut-off of DU 2021 on November 8. The DU special drive cut-off list 2021 will be released on November 13, in case of vacant seats.

In the DU special cut-off list 2021 also which was released on October 25 after the third cut-off, the admissions were available for only those students who did not take admission in any of the previous three rounds.

“The college has no information about the special drive admission. One possibility could be that the admissions will be made only in the vacant seats. I think the admissions will be done on the basis of merit. The university will decide if they will prepare merit or release cut-off in the special drive,” added Kansal.

The candidates who wish to apply for admission based on the DU 5th cut-off 2021 can apply till November 10. The principals of Delhi University colleges will approve the admissions by November 11 (5 pm). The last date to pay the admission fee for DU fifth cut-off list 2021 is November 12 (5 pm).

Around 68,849 students have taken admission under the previous DU cut-off lists and the Delhi University colleges are merely left with close to 2,000 seats, as per the report by PTI. Delhi University offers around 70,000 undergraduate seats in around 64 DU colleges.

The Non-Collegiate Women Education Board, University of Delhi has released the DU NCWEB cut-off 2021 for second round on November 8 at du.ac.in.
