Download NowNEW DELHI: Delhi University will hold the final year undergraduate online exams from Aug 10 and conclude them by Aug 31. Earlier in its affidavit submitted to the Delhi High Court yesterday, it had stated that the DU Open Book Examination (OBE) will begin from August 17.

On the suggestion of the Delhi High Court, Delhi University agreed to advance the examinations. The OBE exams will now commence on August 10 and conclude on August 31.
In its affidavit , the DU had stated different dates. Examinations were to begin on August 17 and conclude by September 8 for the final semester, or final year students of all undergraduate and postgraduate courses including School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB).

The mock tests for the DU open book exams will now begin from July 27. As per the affidavit, DU announced three sessions of mock tests per day, its previously held mock tests for OBE were plagued by technical glitches
The DU will later submit an affidavit stating a fresh date for declaration of results of the open book examination and conducting physical exams.
The court has granted time till Aug 17 to DU to submit an affidavit stating a fresh date for declaration of results for online exams as well as for conducting the physical exams.
DU will conduct additional exams later, for students who are unable to appear in the examinations in OBE mode, through online, offline or blended mode.
In its affidavit, DU had also stated that the students who could not fill their examination form due to any reason will be given another opportunity to submit examination forms as per their scheme of examinations. The university will open the window for the same on the OBE portal of the university from July 21- 25.
