BTech Admissions 2025 LIVE: SITEEE, JEE Mains, AEEE exam dates out; MET, SRMJEEE registrations underway

SRMJEEE 2025 phase 1 exam will be held tentatively from April 22 to April 27, 2025.

IIT Kanpur has announced JEE Advanced 2025 exam date. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025.

The VITEEE 2025 application form can be accessed at viteee.vit.ac.in.

The AEEE 2025 registration deadline, initially set for January 7, has been extended to January 20.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has added Germany as international exam centre for JEE Mains this year. Munich has been identified as the new exam city in Germany for JEE Mains 2025.

The last date to fill SRMJEEE application form 2025 phase 1 is April 16, 2025, while the deadline for phase 2 is June 6, 2025.

The VITEEE 2025 registration form can be accessed through the official website at viteee.vit.ac.in.

The VITEEE 2025 will consists a total of 125 questions divided into mathematics or biology (40 questions), physics (35 questions), chemistry (35 questions), aptitude (10 questions), and English (five questions).

The AEEE 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on February 1, 2, 2025. “Phase 1 of AEEE 2025 is scheduled on February 1 & 2", the official website read.

BITSAT 2025 registration has not yet commenced. The BITSAT 2025 registration link will be active at bitsadmission.com.

The reservation criteria for JEE Main 2025 are as follows: 

• General category belonging to Economically Weaker Section (GEN- EWS) – 10% of seats in every course.
• Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC- NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.
• SC – 15% of seats in every course. 
• ST – 7.5% of seats in every course. 
• PwD, PwBD– 5% seats in each of the General, GEN-EWS, OBC- NCL, SC and ST category seats.

The ministry of education has reconstituted the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for the 2025 counselling process. NIT Rourkela will lead the JoSAA 2025 counselling for BTech admissions at IITs, NITs, and CFTIs.

The SITEEE 2025 will be held online in computer-based mode (CBT). The paper will include a total of 60 questions divided into three sections- mathematics, physics and chemistry. The duration of the SITEEE 2025 exam is 1 hour. Candidates will get 2 marks for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

An exit survey by IIT Delhi for its 2024-25 graduates revealed that 12.6% of students chose alternative career paths over traditional campus placements, while over 13% pursued higher studies. Of the 1,411 students who graduated in August 2024, 53.1% secured job offers through campus placements. Additionally, 8.4% were self-employed, 1.7% joined startups, and 2.5% ventured into entrepreneurship.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have decided not to disclose the highest salary packages during the 2024-2025 placement season, starting December 1 at older campuses. SRMJEEE 2025 will be held in three phases

• Phase 1 (April 22 to 27, 2025)
• Phase 2 (June 12 to 17, 2025)
• Phase 3 (July 4 to 5, 2025)

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct GUJCET 2025 on March 23. The GUJCET 2025 registrations will begin from January 25.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) may announce a fee hike as the education ministry has formed a committee to review fee structures. The last fee hike in undergraduate BTech fees was in 2016, raising it from Rs 90,000 to Rs 2 lakh, with full waivers for SC, ST and differently-abled students. As per Telegraph report, the panel including directors from IIT Bombay, IIT Indore, and IIT Tirupati, will analyze existing fee structures, total collections, expenditures, and recurring costs. The last date to apply for VITEEE 2025 is March 31, 2025. Eligible students can register for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination on the official website, viteee.vit.ac.in.

The Symbiosis International University will conduct the SITEEE 2025 exam on May 5 and May 11.

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has not yet announced the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2025 exam date. The BITSAT 2025 is likely to be held in two sessions as a computer-based test (as per past trends). 

As per the revised pattern, there will be no optional questions in section B of the JEE Mains 2025 exam.

In 2024, JoSAA counselling for IIT admissions concluded after five rounds. Among the oldest IITs, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Madras had cut-offs within the top 1000 JEE Advanced ranks for women-specific seats. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur initially announced that students would have three attempts at JEE Advanced, raising hopes for many aspirants, including Mithin Mondal, who had exhausted his two consecutive attempts in 2023 and 2024. As per reports, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) will conduct the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Pharmacy (KEAM) 2025 from April 24 to April 28.

The JEE Main cut-offs for NIT BTech data science engineering courses are mentioned below:

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee recorded a total of 607 placement offers by the third day of the 2024-2025 placement season. This includes four international placements and 603 domestic offers from 140 companies. These recruiters offered 180 job profiles in diverse sectors, including technology, finance, energy, and research.

In MET 2025, candidates will get 4 marks for each correct answer. For multiple-choice questions (MCQs), 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response, while no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

Recruitment drives at NIT Manipur have been impacted this placement season due to the ongoing ethnic violence in the state, said KH Johnson Singh, faculty coordinator of the training and placement cell. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is launching a new model curriculum for BTech in electrical engineering after two-year review process. Last year, AICTE formed a specialized committee to revamp the model curriculum for implementation across engineering colleges nationwide, excluding the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
