Download NowNEW DELHI - Footwear Design & Development Institute has issued a notice stating that they have cancelled the FDDI AIST 2020 which was supposed to be conducted on July 26 in wake of the lockdown that has been caused due to COVID19 and absence of proper infrastructure. The institute has modified its admission process and now the merit list will be prepared on the basis of Class 12 marks. It was on July 6 that the authorities were supposed to issue the admit card for the FDDI AIST 2020 exam.

FDDI Admission Criteria Modified for B.Des and M.Des

All the candidates belonging to different categories will be awarded ranks based on the aggregate marks secured by them in class 12 or equivalent 3-year AICTE approved diploma. This is for those who are applying for the B.Des programme

If two or more candidates have the same aggregate marks then the one who is older according to the date of birth, they would be ranked higher in the merit list

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks, campus chosen by the candidates as well as the availability of seat.

The detailed schedule for counselling will be notified soon.

Those candidates who are applying for the M.Des programme, their merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by them in the graduation programme. If the result is awaited then in such a case candidate will have to upload the results up to penultimate semester or year (as may be the case).
About FDDI AIST
Every year the FDDI AIST entrance examination is conducted in offline mode for the design programme that is offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate level at different campuses of FDDI. However, this year due to COVID19, the exam could not be held and hence the authorities had to modify the exam guidelines.
