GATE exam analysis 2021 (Feb 14) - GATE ME paper analysis

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has concluded the first shift of GATE 2021. Candidates can find GATE paper analysis for Mechanical Engineering paper 1 here. As per the students who appeared in the first shift of the GATE ME exam on February 14, 2021, the difficulty level was easy to moderate. The GATE 2021 exam time for the forenoon session was 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Check the dress code to be followed by the candidates at the exam centre.

GATE ME Analysis (Shift 1)

• The overall difficulty level was moderate to easy.

• NAT Type questions: 30 & MCQs: 35.

• There were more application-based questions.

• There were some questions that were direct concept based questions.

• No MSQ Questions were asked in the exam.

GATE ME 2021 Topic wise Weightage (Paper 1)

• Manufacturing - 15 marks
• TD – 12 marks
• Industrial – 9 marks
• TOM – 9 Marks
• HT- 6 Marks
• Maths – 12 marks
• Engineering Mechanics – 2 Marks
• Fluid Mechanics - 6 marks
• GA - 15 marks

IIT Bombay shall conduct GATE ME-2 in the afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. Various coaching institutes will be releasing the GATE ME answer key and analysis. However, the official GATE answer key will be released simultaneously for all the papers.
