Goa Institute of Management opens PGDM admissions for 2027-29, offers 300 seats

The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has opened applications for admission to its various postgraduate (PGDM) diploma programmes for the academic year 2027-29. Candidates can apply for the PGDM courses through the official website at admissions.gim.ac.in.

The management institute is offering a total of 720 seats across various programmes, including 300 seats for PGDM, 120 for PGDM in healthcare management, 180 for PGDM in big data analytics, and 120 for PGDM in banking, insurance, and financial services.

As per the eligibility norms, candidates should have at least 50% aggregate in their bachelor's programme, with 45% applicable for Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

GIM Admissions 2027: Eligibility

They should also have taken or appeared for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027, Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026, or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) between January 2025 and January 31, 2027.

Notably, those completing their UG courses by June 2027 are also eligible to apply for PG admissions at GIM.

According to the official notification, candidates applying until October 22, 2026 will come under “first mover”, while those registering by November 19, will be “early bird.”

The institute will conduct the achiever’s round on December 3 and the deadline to submit CAT details is December 23. The last date to apply for PGDM courses at GIM is January 4, 2027, the notification read.

Scholarships, fee-waiver for PGDM applicants

Furthermore, the management institute has also offered scholarships and tuition-fee waivers. The Academic Competence and Excellence Scholarship Scheme (ACCESS) will provide financial assistance worth Rs 5 lakh to 45 PGDM students, 21 BDA applicants, and 7 each for BIFS and HCM candidates.

Those students, whose annual family income is less than Rs 8 lakh are also eligible for full tuition-fee waivers, subject to applicable conditions and limits.

Students will be given admission through regular as well as an achiever's round, a profile-based shortlisting process that considers achievements in areas such as academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and professional experience.

The institute will shortlist students for the achiever's round without their CAT, XAT or GMAT scores being considered initially, with scores factored in subsequently.

Select candidates may receive a spot admission offer, while others may be considered alongside regular applicants. The achiever's round centres will be located in Goa, Kolkata, and Delhi.
