NEW DELHI, APRIL 6: The registrations for GUJCET 2018 will be closed by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), the exam conducting body tomorrow i.e. April 7, 2018. The entrance exam will be held on April 23, 2018.

All those candidates who wish to take admission to the B.Tech or B.E programmes through GUJCET are advised to fill and submit the application form within the time span left. However, it is crucial that candidates applying first check the complete eligibility criteria as prescribed by the authorities before filling the application form.

To fill the GUJCET 2018 application form, candidates will have to first obtain their User ID and password by paying the application fee of Rs 300 at any of the 42 designated centres. The payment has to be done through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell, Gandhinagar" from any nationalized bank payable at Gandhinagar.

Candidates will have to login using their obtained User ID and password and fill the application form in which, they will be required to provide their personal, academic and qualifying details. Candidates will also be required to upload their photograph and signature in the format prescribed. After thoroughly checking all the details filled, candidates must submit the form and take a print out of the same for future reference.

GUJCET Eligibility Guidelines

Candidates should be Indian and must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/ CBSE, Delhi/ CISCE, New Delhi/ NIOS or International School Board. Candidates who will complete their 10+2 in 2018 can also apply for the exam.

It is important to note that general category candidates applying must have secured minimum 45% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent exam. However, reserved category candidates need to have 40% marks in their qualifying exam.

To be eligible, candidates have to be bonafide residents of Gujarat. Candidates who are bonafide residents of Gujarat but living in some other state are also eligible for admission. All those candidates whose parents are of Gujarat origin and are serving out of the state in the service of Central Government or other State Government, Armed Forces, Boards or Cooperations owned or controlled by the Central or State or any nationalised bank will also be eligible.
