Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), Chennai has launched an Executive MBA (ExMBA) programme. It is designed for working professionals, entrepreneurs, and future business leaders to build leadership and strategy skills for an AI-driven and digital business world.
According to HITS, the Executive MBA programme has been designed to address rapid changes in global business, including AI, digital transformation, sustainability, and market trends. The course includes classroom learning along with industry exposure through global case studies, business simulations, entrepreneurship activities, final projects, and networking opportunities.
R Venkatesh, Dean, Executive MBA, HITS School of Management, said the programme is designed to help professionals prepare for new and emerging business challenges.
The institute said the programme is for working professionals, startup founders, entrepreneurs, and future business leaders who want to improve their management and leadership skills while continuing their jobs.
HITS said it has partnered with the All India Management Association (AIMA) to make the programme more industry-focused and practical. The institute expects this partnership to give students better exposure to current business practices and trends.
Apart from launching the Executive MBA programme, HITS also took part in a panel discussion on education reforms titled “What are the reforms needed to foster excellence in education?”
M K Badrinarayanan, Associate Dean, School of Management, HITS, joined academic leaders from across India to discuss employability, industry-academia collaboration, innovation, and technology-based learning.
The event brought together policymakers, teachers, industry leaders, and experts to discuss the future of higher education, innovation, and leadership in India.

HITS received national recognition in The Week-Hansa Research Rankings 2026. It ranked 10th in India and 6th in South India among private and deemed multidisciplinary universities.
The award was presented by former Chief Justice of India Justice D Y Chandrachud, along with education leaders and industry representatives present at the event.
