NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 12: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) will release the application form for HP TET 2019 on September 19, 2019. Candidates will be able to fill in the HP TET Application Form from September 19 to October 09, 2019. The admit card for HP TET is expected to be released in the last week of October 2019 .

The exam for HP TET will be conducted on November 9, 10, 12 and 17, 2019 while the results are to be expected in the month of December 2019.
HP TET exam determines candidates eligibility as a teacher in various categories such as:
- TGT (Arts)
- TGT (Non-Medical)
- TGT (Medical)
- Shastri,
- As a Language Teacher,
- JBT (changed to D.El.Ed)
- Punjabi, and as an Urdu teacher
To appear in HP TET a candidate must be a citizen of India, although the education qualifications vary from subject to subject, for instance in TGT (Arts) a candidate needs to have a degree of B.A/B.Comm with B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education) or the candidate must have completed their 10+2 and should hold a degree of B.El.Ed. (Bachelor in Elementary Education).
If the candidate is applying for TGT (Medical), he/she needs to have been completed their graduation in B.Sc. (Medical) and should hold a B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education). If not for this, the candidates who have completed their 10+2 along with four years long Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or the course of B.Sc. (Medical Ed.) can also apply.
Minimum score required in graduation is 50 per cent.
The objective type question paper of HP TET will be in offline mode, with 150 questions carrying 150 marks to be completed within 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be negative marking.
