IFIM Business School sets a new benchmark, witnesses 41% females in its recent batch of PGDM

NEW DELHI, AUGUST 8: IFIM Business School’s 25th batch (2019-2021) of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) witnessed admission of 41% of female students of the 300 students. Again, the students in all, are from a heterogeneous background of 26 states and Union Territories of the country from various undergraduate qualification streams with work experience from across various industry sectors.
This is the first batch admitted after IFIM Business School changed the selection process for its PGDM programme which comprises an Innovation Potential Test (IPT), a Group Exercise (GE) and a Personal Interview (PI).
The curriculum re-designed for the program is at par with the needs of Industry 4.0.
Addressing the students, Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay, Director at IFIM B-School said, “This year is significant as we welcome participants from across the country with diverse backgrounds who have come through the new selection process and would significantly contribute to the quality of learning environment at the institute. This is also the first batch that will go through the new curriculum aligned to the needs of Industry 4.0, developed as an outcome of the research of Industry 4.0 needs in partnership with National HRD Network.’’
Industry 4.0 is a combination of cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and the Internet of Systems resulting in smart machines which keep getting smarter as they get access to more data.
About 41% of the 300 students are female, while more than 58% are male. More than 66% have completed their undergrad qualifications in streams other than engineering and technology. 27% come with prior work experience, while 73% of them are freshers. One student has joined from Nepal and UAE each.
