IGNOU invites entries for Viksit Bharat@2047 essay, poster-making and ideas competitions 2024

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University has invited entries for Viksit Bharat at 2047 essay, poster-making and ideas competitions 2024. The competitions will be open for all IGNOU learners and alumni. The participants will have to mention their enrolment number on each entry.

Participants will have to submit the entries through email at the regional centre with a copy to ncide@ignou.ac.in till February 11, 2024. Those participating in the idea competition wil have to fill the form at ignou.ac.in.

The participants will have to submit their entries on an individual basis as no shared work is allowed. The entries should be on the following themes:

  • How can the Indians be empowered in terms of education, health, sports, nari shakti, caring society and environment, culture, and health and wellbeing
  • Socio-economic and infrastructural development in 2047
  • Innovation, Science, Technology and Startups
  • Governance, security and services
  • India in the World in 2047
  • Contribution of the candidate in Viksit Bharat@2047

How do I visualise IGNOU in 2047

  • Changes, innovations and improvements in admission, counselling, assessment, and evaluation system of IGNOU
  • Teaching-learning approach of IGNOU in 2047
  • Ease of accessing teaching-learning material provided by IGNOU, innovative formats of the self learning materials, instructions in mother tongue, inclusion of projects, research work, innovation and entrepreneurship related-activities
  • Holistic development of students enrolled in different programmes of the university
  • IGNOU in the world and as a major contributor in providing higher education
  • Involvement of alumni in the growth and development of IGNOU by 2047.

Cash prize

The first, second and third placed participants in all the categories will receive a cash prize of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000, along with a memento and certificate of merit. Top three the entries at each regional centre will receive a certificate of merit. Certificate of participation for each entry will be given by the respective regional centre.

The essay should be within 2,000 to 2,500 words in handwritten or typed in word format. It should not exceed the word limit or else the participants will be disqualified.

Each participant can submit only one poster per theme. The poster must be made on the A3 size (29.7 cm x 42.0cm) sheet with margins (0.5 inches) drawn with black pen/marker. Poster can be made using pencil, crayon, watercolour, oil paint, etc. Posters copied from any other source will be rejected. The topic of the poster and theme should be clearly mentioned at the top Margin of the poster.
