IIM Sirmaur, French universities to launch two new executive MBA programmes

The programmes will be for two years and will be offered in hybrid mode for working professionals looking to enhance their leadership abilities.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIMS) collaborates with the University of Bordeaux and the University of Paris, France, to launch two new executive MBA programmes for the current academic year 2023. These are the general management course and digital transformation and analytics course.
The curriculum for two executive MBA courses will be based on a case-based teaching method. Students will have an option to attend the classes in hybrid mode. This will include online regular classes and a personal contact programme (PCP) at regular intervals on campus. One of the PCPs will be conducted at partnering universities in France, the official statement read.
The syllabus for first and second term will include marketing, finance, accounting, strategy, organisational behaviour (OB) and human resources (HR), management information systems (MIS), operations management and quantitative methods. In the fourth and fifth semester, students will have to choose electives. The university also informed that industry professionals will take some courses to give a practical and strategic insight to the participants.

Those students who complete two years of required coursework will receive an executive MBA degree while those who complete one year of coursework will receive a postgraduate diploma.
Speaking on the collaboration of IIMS with French Universities, Prafulla Agnihotri, director of IIM Sirmaur said: “We believe that our collaboration with these esteemed universities is a significant step towards offering a truly global and transformative learning experience for our participants."

This collaboration is based on an earlier agreement, dated November 11, 2022, when IIMS agreed to partner with the Institute of International Education (IIE) Consortium of Universities, France to launch a dual degree MBA programme.
Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) is an Institution of National Importance set up by the Government of India in 2015.
