IIMA Placement: Amazon, Hindustan Unilever top recruiters in cluster two

IIM-Ahemdabad placement is done on a “cluster-cohort” based hiring process where companies offering similar profiles are grouped into cohorts.
NEW DELHI: For the postgraduate program class of 2021, the second cluster of the summer placement at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad concluded on Friday with Amazon alone recruiting 14 students for internships.
IIM-A follows a “cluster-cohort” based hiring process where companies offering similar profiles are grouped into cohorts. The second cluster saw the participation of seven cohorts.
Jobs were mainly offered in the sector of advertising and media, consumer electronics, consumer goods and durables, consumer services and conglomerates.
In addition, recruiters in sectors like retail business to business and business to consumer and pharma-health care offered jobs via online mode in cluster two.
In the first cluster , 50 companies participated where Bain and Company made 20 job offers followed by Boston Consulting Group with 19 offers.
The last cluster of IIM Ahmedabad placement will be held on December 7, 2020.
IIM Ahemdabad placement offers
With ver 40 companies participating in the process, IIM-A saw a large pool of recruiters. The e-commerce giant, Amazon emerged as the top recruiter with 14 offers.
In the consumer goods and durables sector, Hindustan Unilever Ltd was the top recruiter here with 13 offers. Other participating companies included like AB InBev, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Colgate, Dabur, HUL, ITC, Kimberly Clark, Mondelez, Nestle, Puma, Reckitt Benckiser, and Wipro Consumer Care amongst others.
Airtel with five offers was the top recruiter in the consumer services sector. This year, new recruiters included Walmart Global Tech and Purplle.com.
In the Pharma and healthcare cohort, firms like Indigene, Stryker and Dr Reddy’s participated. New recruiters in this cohort included Cipla, Philips and Bayer.
