IIT Delhi to hold 4th edition of Industry day on December 10
IIT-Delhi's industry day 2022 event will have themes such as healthcare, electric vehicles, communication technologies, clean energy and environment.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-D) will be organising the fourth edition of industry day on December 10, 2022. Leaders from over 15 corporate companies and business houses, scientists, IIT Delhi faculty, research scholars, and students will be attending the event.
The industry day 2022 event will be focusing on four themes that are inline with the India's commitment to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- healthcare, electric vehicles, communication technologies, clean energy and environment. The attendees will be discussing challenges and explore scope of innovation in the themes mentioned.
Speaking about the themes and technologies at industry day 2022, IIT Delhi, dean, corporate relations, and research and development, Sunil Kumar Khare said: "The themes and technologies chosen this year reflect the needs and perspectives of our internal and external research communities, and will foster industry and academic collaboration to create impact among the various stakeholder communities."

The day-long event will give IIT Delhi an opportunity to showcase over 70 developed technologies on the themes mentioned. Technologies on display include artificial intelligence-based portable device for rapid detection of epilepsy, extremely cold climate clothing for defence personnel, a means of providing power to biomedical devices and healthcare systems, electric vehicle power converters, a hand exoskeleton for paralytics, recyclable syringes for wastewater treatment, technologies for electric vehicles among others.
In addition to this, 150 industry-relevant concept posters created by the students of IIT Delhi will also be showcased. The chief guests of the event will be, former IIT-D student and Tata Consultancy Services, executive vice president and chief technology office, K Ananth Krishnan.
Speaking about Industry Day 2022, IIT Delhi, director, Rangan Banerjee, said: “We have a number of modes of interaction with industry. We are keen to enhance our linkages with industry and play a role in providing industry with future-ready graduates as well as a competitive edge through our research. We welcome industry to explore partnerships with us through this event.”
