IIT Kanpur Placements 2023: Students bag 989 job offers in first phase; 22 international

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has successfully concluded the first phase of placements for the 2023-24 session. Students bagged a total of 989 job offers including 22 international offers.
913 IIT Kanpur students secured placements including pre-placement offers (PPOs) in phase 1 of placements. The current average salary stands at Rs 26.27 lakh per annum.
The phase 1 placement drive of IIT Kanpur witnessed the participation of companies such as Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, Tata Projects, Navi, Uniorbit, ICICI Bank, EXL, NPCI, Intel, TSMC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, HPCL, SECI, C-DOT, NVIDIA, and more.

On day one of IIT Kanpur placements 2023 , the institute received 485 job offers and 12 international offers which was less as compared to last year. By the eighth day, the institute managed to secure 891 job offers and 21 students were placed in international firms.
Professor S Ganesh, director, IIT Kanpur congratulated the students and said, “The relentless efforts of the Students’ Placement Office deserve appreciation as we culminate the first phase of this year’s placement season. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the recruiters who have placed their trust in our students and the institute, offering valuable opportunities within their organizations. This trust and collaboration greatly enhance the students’ professional journeys.”
Professor Raju Kumar Gupta, chairperson of the Students’ Placement Office at IIT Kanpur, extended a warm invitation to esteemed industries and startups for the upcoming second phase of placements scheduled to commence in mid-January 2024. He highlighted the institute's anticipation of their involvement in shaping the future careers of IIT Kanpur students, expressing gratitude for their ongoing contribution to the institute's journey of success.
