IIT Patna, France’s polytechnic institute join hands for student exchange, research, internships
IIT Patna and National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse signed agreement for exchange of students, research projects, lectures, symposia, and more.

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has signed an agreement with the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (Toulouse INP) in France for academic cooperation.
Both the institutes have agreed to jointly organize exchange of academic, administrative staff and students for various short-term programmes on topics of mutual interest and to invite each other's faculty or students or scholars to participate to foster and engage in a wide range of research or training or academic programmes to address the challenging problems.

“India and France share long-standing cultural, trade and economic linkages. This MoU between IIT Patna and Université de Toulouse will prove to be a milestone towards better symbiotic relations between the two institutions,” said an official statement.
The purpose of the agreement is to develop academic co-operation and to promote mutual understanding between the two institutes in the following academic areas:
- Exchange of academic and administrative staff
- Exchange of students
- Joint supervision of doctoral studies
- Conducting collaborative research projects
- Conducting lectures and organising symposia
- Exchange of academic information and materials
- Promoting academic collaboration in fields of mutual interest
- Providing internship opportunities
The agreement was signed by professor T N Singh, director, IIT Patna; Asif Ekbal, associate dean, resources, IIT Patna; Raju Halder, associate professor, CSE, IIT Patna and professor Pascal Moussien, vice president, International Relations, Université de Toulouse, France.
