IIT placements 2022 kickstart with international job offers, big recruiters on day one
IIT Placements 2022: IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee recorded a total of 23 international offers on the first day of recruitment.

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) placements 2022 kickstarted on December 1 with students getting international offers and placements from big companies right on the first day. Students from IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and IIT Guwahati managed to grab international offers while IIT Madras also witnessed an increase in offers from last year.
The top recruiters which are participating in this year’s placement season include Microsoft, Google, Uber, Qualcomm, Oracle, ONGC, Flipkart, Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Goldmann Sachs, Boston Consulting Group, JP Morgan Chase and Co, among others.
Coming to international offers, IIT Guwahati received two international job offers with the highest salary of Rs 2.4 crore whereas IIT Roorkee saw six offers with the highest salary of Rs 1.06 crore. IIT Madras got 15 international offers from four companies.

On the first day, IIT Madras bagged 445 placements, IIT Guwahati received 168 offers and IIT Roorkee got 365 total job offers. Two students of the department of computer science and engineering in IIT Madras received the roles of software engineer or developer with an international salary of Rs 1 crore each. The highest domestic salary offered to a student of IIT Roorkee was Rs 1.30 crore.
A total of 1,722 students from IIT Madras registered for the placements 2022 while 1,269 students applied from IIT Guwahati. 331 companies are participating in the placements in IIT Madras and 264 companies in IIT Guwahati.
