The Indian Navy will end the Agniveer (Apprentice) Recruitment 2026 application process today. The examination fee is Rs 550, along with 18 per cent GST

The Indian Navy will close the online application process for the Indian Navy Agniveer (Apprentice) Recruitment 2026 for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches, today, July 5, 2026 on the Indian Navy’s official recruitment portal at joinindiannavy.gov.in. The application process was started on June 5, 2026.
The recruitment process will be accepted in online mode only. The stage I examination will be conducted through INET 2/2026, while the total number of vacancies has not yet been announced by the authorities.
To complete the application process, candidates must pay an examination fee of Rs 550, along with 18 per cent GST, using online payment methods such as Net Banking, UPI, or Visa, MasterCard, and RuPay debit/credit cards. The application fee is non-refundable, and no refund requests will be entertained once the payment has been successfully made.

The Indian Navy recruitment process consists of multiple stages. Candidates will first appear for the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2/2026), after which shortlisted applicants will be selected on the basis of merit. Those who qualify will have to undergo the physical fitness test (PFT), stage II written examination, and the recruitment medical examination. Following the completion of these stages, the Navy will prepare a state-wise merit list.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and possess a three-year engineering diploma recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with at least 50 per cent marks in the specified disciplines are eligible to apply. Applicants are advised to ensure that they meet all the prescribed educational requirements before submitting their applications.
For the 01/2027 batch, applicants must have been born between December 1, 2004, and May 31, 2008 (both dates inclusive). Meanwhile, candidates seeking admission to the 02/2027 batch should have birth dates falling between May 1, 2005, and October 31, 2009, are eligible to appear for the INET 2/2026 stage I examination. However, eligibility for stage II will be assessed separately based on the age criteria applicable to the respective batch.
