NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy has begun the registration process for the recruitment to Short Service Commission (SSC) officer posts. Eligible candidates can fill out the Indian Navy SSC application form 2024 through the official website, joinindiannavy.gov.in. The last date to submit the application form is March 10.

The Indian Navy is inviting unmarried men, women candidates for the recruitment of 254 SSC officers under the executive, education, and technical branches. As per the official notice, the course will commence from January 2025 onward at at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Candidates who are selected will receive a short service commission for an initial period of 10 years, extendable by a maximum of 4 years in two terms. This extension will depend upon service requirements, performance, medical eligibility, and the willingness of the candidates.

After the submission of applications, candidates will undergo shortlisting based on their marks in the qualifying degree. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates are required to participate in the SSB interview. The final selection will be determined by a merit list, considering the candidates' performance in the SSB interview.

Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for Indian Navy SSC recruitment 2024 given below.

  • Candidates should have completed graduation, post-graduated with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

  • To apply for logistics, candidates should have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. For the education branch, the candidate should have done a Master of Technology (MTech) or Master of Science (MSc).

  • Candidates who have either completed their Bachelor in Engineering (BE), Bachelor in Technology (BTech) or are in the final year, with marks obtained up to the fifth semester, will also be eligible for SSB shortlisting.

  • Candidates with a certificate of competency from the ministry of shipping and transport, holding the rank of second mate, mate, or master, are eligible to apply for the executive branch. Candidates should be born between January 02, 1995, to July 01, 2005.
