The new MCA course focuses on AI, GenAI, cybersecurity and data science, and includes a six-month paid internship and global exposure opportunities
ITM Skills University has launched a new AI-focused Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme for the 2026 academic session, positioning it as a course designed to prepare students for the rapidly changing technology industry. Applications for the two-year postgraduate programme are currently open on the official website at isu.ac.in/lp/isu-mca. The last date to apply is June 16, 2026.
The course has been developed with a strong emphasis on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, data science, cybersecurity and modern software engineering. Industry experts have contributed to the programme's design.
With companies increasingly looking for candidates who can work on real-world AI applications, the university believes traditional classroom learning alone is no longer enough. The programme has therefore been structured to give students practical exposure to technologies and tools that are currently in demand across the technology sector.
Focus on job-ready technology skills
The curriculum has been aligned with the skills employers are actively hiring for, including areas such as large language models (LLMs), MLOps, DevSecOps, Agentic AI, LangChain, Apache Spark and cloud computing. Rather than limiting learning to lectures and assignments, students will work on live projects, production deployments and GitHub-based development workflows similar to those used in professional engineering teams.
The programme also includes more than 350 hours of training in data structures, algorithms, system design, interview preparation, portfolio building and communication skills. The aim is to help students develop both technical expertise and the workplace skills expected by recruiters.
Internship and global exposure
One of the key highlights of the programme is the mandatory six-month paid internship. The extended internship period is intended to give students meaningful industry experience and a better understanding of how technology teams operate in professional environments.

Beyond academics, students will receive one-on-one mentorship from industry professionals. The university is also offering a MacBook from the first day of the programme, a Dubai immersion experience, and an opportunity to study a subject abroad. Students interested in entrepreneurship can additionally access incubation support and seed funding of up to Rs 1 crore for promising startup ideas.
The university states that the programme equips students for careers with leading global and Indian companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Walmart, Samsung, TCS, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Paytm, Uber, Apple, LinkedIn, Atos and EY. Graduates may secure salary packages reaching up to Rs 16 lakh per annum.
