Candidates appearing for the BTech, BS, BArch entrance exam can download the JEE Advanced 2026 admit card from the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can access the JEE Advanced admit card 2026 using their registration number and date of birth.
The admit card for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam was released on May 11. The exam will be conducted in two papers: Paper 1 in the morning shift and Paper 2 in the afternoon shift.
The top 2.5 lakh candidates in the JEE Main 2026 exam are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026.
JEE Advanced 2026 Paper 1, 2 Analysis
The authority consists of two compulsory papers 180 marks each. The IIT Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2026 examination tomorrow. The detailed JEE Advanced 2026 Paper 1 and 2 Analysis will be released after the conclusion of the examination. Subject experts and students' reactions will be issued immediately after each shift concludes on May 17, 2026.
JEE Advanced exam pattern 2026
The JEE Advanced 2026 entrance exam will be conducted for 3 hours and consists of 54 questions (18 in each subject). The JEE Advanced question paper carries a total of 360 marks, with each paper carrying a maximum of 180 marks.
As per the JEE Advanced 2026 exam pattern, both papers include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical questions. Students must appear in both papers to be eligible for ranking.
Candidates will have to reach their allotted JEE Advanced exam centres well before the reporting time to complete entry procedures such as ID checks and security screening, and follow all exam-day guidelines issued by IIT Roorkee.
JEE Advanced is a mandatory entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering, science, and architecture courses at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The list of documents that candidates need to carry to the JEE Advanced exam centre is given below.
- Printed copy of the JEE Advanced 2026 admit card.
- A valid government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, or passport) for identity verification.
- Recent passport-sized photographs.
- Disability certificate, if applicable.
JEE Advanced reporting time 2026
For JEE Advanced, students should reach the exam centre early. The entry gates usually close 30 minutes before the exam starts, and no one is allowed inside after that.

JEE Advanced scribble pad
In JEE Advanced, a scribble pad is a rough sheet given to candidates for calculations and rough work during the exam. Candidates cannot bring their own sheets. It is provided in the JEE Advanced exam hall and can be replaced if needed. After the JEE Advanced 2026 exam, it must be returned to the invigilator. It is only for rough work, not for writing final answers.

Minimum marks in JEE Advanced to get IIT for general
For General category students, you need at least 35% of the total marks (around 74–75 out of 360) and at least 10% in each subject to qualify for the JEE Advanced rank list. But qualifying alone does not mean you will get an IIT seat. Admission depends on your rank in JoSAA counselling, and usually much higher marks are needed.
