According to the JEE Main 2021 official brochure, the NTA was considering to hold exams four times in different sessions - February, March, April, and May. As per the brochure, JEE Main exam dates for the February session were February 22 to 25. However, the final dates of other sessions were not declared. Also, the JEE Main 2021 registration process for the February session was to start on December 15. The brochure referred to the last date of the JEE Main 2021 application to be on January 15.
The brochure also mentioned some other changes in JEE Main 2021 like changes in exam pattern and conducting the exam in 13 regional languages.
As per the brochure, the NTA provided a choice in one section to rationalize the decision of different school boards in lieu of the reduction of the syllabus. However, the total number of questions to be attempted remained the same as Physics- 25, Chemistry- 25, and Mathematics- 25.
However, after the removal of the official announcement from the website, the education ministry has said that "no decision has been made on JEE Main dates yet" and that "the NTA has denied this news report", referring to a Times of India report, that the bulletin and dates have been announced.
Now, any decision on the JEE Main 2021 exam dates and application will be notified in the next 2-3 days. Also, it is now difficult to say whether the changes mentioned in the released JEE Main 2021 brochure will be applicable or not.
