NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam date soon. The agency has recently updated the JEE Main 2025 official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in and notified exam pattern and PwD guidelines. Based on past trends, JEE Mains 2025 registration is expected to begin from November 1 while JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam is likely to be held in January.

NTA also announced that optional questions will be removed from Section B, which had been introduced as a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NTA has recently released a notice regarding changes to the JEE exam pattern. For JEE Mains 2025 , the exam will return to its pre-COVID format. In the revised pattern, Section B of Paper 1 will consist of 5 mandatory questions, and students will be required to answer all of them. Additionally, the Mathematics sections in Papers 2A and 2B will also no longer include optional questions.

JEE Main 2025 eligibility criteria

As per previous years, to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2025 include several key requirements. Firstly, there is no specific age limit for candidates. Applicants must have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination, with a curriculum that includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Candidates are required to secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in their qualifying exam, with possible relaxation for reserved categories. Additionally, candidates should have studied the aforementioned subjects in their Class 12 curriculum.

Candidates can appear for JEE Main for a maximum of three consecutive years. Both Indian nationals and foreign nationals are eligible to apply, although specific criteria may vary based on the institution or state.
