JEE Main 2026 registration latest updates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the close JEE Main 2026 form correction window on December 1 and 2, to edit candidates' details. The agency highlighted that candidates should fill out their application and exam details carefully, as only a one-time correction facility is available, and no changes will be accepted beyond the designated window.
The agency clarified that the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be conducted from January 21 to 30, while the session 2 exam will be held from April 2 to 9. The test serves as a gateway for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlanning programmes at Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs), and other engineering institutes.
The NTA will randomly allot the exam date, shift, and slot for JEE Main 2026 through a computer-based system, ensuring fairness and transparency in scheduling. This year, the number of exam cities has increased from 284 to 323, giving candidates more accessible testing locations nationwide.
