NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct the JEE Main March 2021 exam from March 15 to 18. The JEE Main admit card 2021 for the March session will be released soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Since the NTA announced major changes in JEE Main 2021 exam this year, students are advised to check the exam pattern carefully and strategize accordingly.

The JEE Main Paper 1 March 2021 will consist of three sections - physics, chemistry and mathematics. Each subject will have two sections. Section A will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and section B will contain questions to which answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In section B, candidates have to attempt any five out of 10 questions. There will be no negative marking for section B.

Method of determining merit

Conversion of the raw score in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Total into NTA scores.

Overall merit shall be prepared by merging NTA scores of all shifts of all days.

Method of resolving ties

Tie between candidates obtaining equal Total NTA scores in Paper1: BE/BTech will be resolved in the following descending order:

  • NTA score in Mathematics, followed by

  • NTA score in Physics, followed by

  • NTA score in Chemistry, followed by

  • Candidates having a lesser ratio of negative to positive responses


JEE Main March 2021 exam is scheduled to be conducted from March 15 to 18. Note that the March session of JEE Main 2021 will be conducted for only paper 1 (BE/ BTech).
